Eid Ul Fitr is a public holiday in all Muslim countries which continues for three days. Eid Ul Fitr is a special Event in the whole Muslim community. This is a mark of completion of the holy month Ramadan which is the month of prayers and fasts. This event comes with full joy and happiness. Muslims attempts special prayers and Keep fasts in the month of Ramadan (Ramzan) and after that celebrate Eid Ul Fitr as blessings of God (Allah) on them. This is the first day of Islamic month of Shawwal.
Muslims starts this day with the prayer of “fajr”. After that, they offer a communal prayer (Namaz-e-Eid Ul Fitr) and listen to a sermon (khutba) after sun rising. Muslims attend this prayer in open grounds and Mosques. On this day before this Prayer, Muslims give a special donation called (Zakat ul Fitr) to poor people according to the Islamic traditions.

How Muslims Celebrate Eid Ul Fitr after Ramadan:
After saying this Prayer all people meet their relatives, friends, and their neighbors. This event continues for three days. These three days were celebrated with full joy and entertainment. People attend special meal parties which their relatives and friends arranged. Many organizations arrange different activities like meals for poor & events for children.
There are many people who are not in their hometown. Many people have gone another cities/states for education or business. Those people travel on this day. People prefer to celebrate this event with their family and friends. People buy new clothes and shoes for this special event. People also exchange Eid Card and say Eid Mubarak (Blessed Eid).
Eid Ul Fitr after Ramadan:
Islam is the 2nd biggest religion in the world and this is a most famous event for them. It is a public holiday in all Muslim countries, But it is not a nationwide public holiday in non-Muslim countries like Australia, America, England, Canada, and Russia etc. Many Islamic organizations and business communities may have altered opening hours, and make a get together in a community club.
There is no history of this event in the Gregorian calendar. Because it is an Islamic event and Muslims follow an Islamic calendar. Muslims all over the world follows the moon for their holy events and activities. Every Islamic month starts with the sighting of new moon. On the 29th of Ramadan people starts to see the moon in the sky. If they get access to find it they announce it in the mosques and start sayings. Chaand Raat Mubarak (blessed Moon Night).
Eid Ul Fitr date:
If they fail to search the moon on 29th of Ramadan it is a sign that 1st Shawaal will be after 30th of Ramadan. The starting day of Eid Ul Fitr may different in every year & from country to country depending on geographical location. In the East countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh this event started after one day from West and Middle East countries.
Eid Ul Fitr meaning:
This is a gift from Allah (God) for all Muslims. This is a reward for fasts which Muslims take in the whole month of Ramadan (Ramazan). On this special day of happiness, people should not forget poor people in their neighborhood. People should help poor by food, money, clothes and other eatables and make sure to keep special attachment for them the whole year.
